Re-location Complete!

Hello everyone. I am terribly sorry to all of my clients. I had to re-locate, and it wrecked havoc on my shop, and the business. Moves are stressful, especially when you have a business to move with your home.

But the good news is that I am back, and I am beginning all of my client commissions at this time. In the meantime, I'd like to share a few shots of some things that had survived the move :)

These sculpts below, especially the wood nymph, are just amazing. I don't know if you all know just how amazing the sculpt is... it was a true pleasure to paint.

The Studio Welcomes Cullen Knappen!

We are excited to announce that a new painter will be joining the studio! His name is Cullen Knappen, and he is absolutely outstanding, a true student and master of the craft. We cannot wait to share some of his work with you all soon.

Cullen is thrilled to be a part of Iron Painters Studios.

He has enjoyed models, miniatures, and table top gaming and all of the amazing art that comes with it for as long as he can remember. As the techniques of miniature production have improved in the past decade, Cullen was inspired to really hone the craft of painting minis and give them the detail and attention these high quality sculpts deserve.

Like many, he cut his painting teeth on Warhammer and has enjoyed painting many genres like Warmachine, Super Dungeon Explore, Scale 75, Young Miniatures, Arcadia Quest, and Infinity.

Infinity miniatures are his current favorites, with their excellent scale and attention to detail. He strives for excellence in his painting and hopes to inspire others to paint as well. He occasionally likes to submit work to CoolMiniOrNot.

Here's a few of his most recent pieces, with one being a WIP (and more to come!)

Hello! It has been TOO long, and this site has been so quiet...

I truly wanted to let everyone know that the studio is alive, and well, but the game that had come out, recently has taken the entirety of my time.

But good news! The Iron Painter Studios is back in business, and we will be sending posts very soon, Thank you all for understanding.

Weekly Workbench

Generally speaking this is some of what I paint in a week. It depends on the type of job, the amount of time, and what the goal of the piece is. For this week, this is what I've painted.

It brings up an interesting point: how hard do you actually have to work to stay afloat? And I say: hard! Sometimes, to make ends meet in a week, you have to really push yourself beyond your comfort zone and produce high-quality pieces one after the other. I never take this as a bad thing, in fact, I love to send out more beautiful pieces into the world as I can!

This photo does however, really highlight, at least to me, some of the 'grind' aspect of the job, which I think shouldn't be glorified, but rather highlighted, as I've attempted to do here.

None of this is personal projects. Though I'd love to continue to share with you all my fun in the world of anything below 28mm. (I secretly only love 15mm and under...)

Borka, Vengeance of the Rimshaws, TrollBloods Warcaster

This is a fast-ish job, probably only an hour or two, but when I say that he was a pleasure to paint. I MEAN HE WAS A PLEASURE TO PAINT!

This guy has so much personality... and he weighs a ton! I'm so happy to be sharing him with you. He'll be up on eBay very soon.

Star Wars Armada 2mm X-Wing

I believe the scale is close to 2mm, but that's not certain.
Anyway, here's a few quick jobs, nothing crazy technical.
